DAY 102

Good thing I didn't have anything important that needed to be done today. 3 dozen cupcakes take a long time to make. These were for Sarah's lingerie shower. I was not looking forward to it at all but it turned out to be not as awkward as I thought it would be.

I made 15 chocolate cupcakes using Mary's mayo cake recipe and 15 champagne cupcakes. That was a new recipe and it was a pain. It called for beating the egg whites and then folding them into the batter....alot of work and they didn't even seem that light and fluffy.

Oh, hi.

I'm Leyla. This is my blog.

Ugh. I almost hate saying that. Blogging is kind of embarrassing. But I'm the most forgetful person ever and I need a way to remember the details. I could try a scrapbook or a journal but that's even less me than a blog.

I tell myself that I'm going to remember the fun (and not so fun) things we did together, and the first words, and the growth stats....and then I forget them immediately. So I'm writing them down and posting pictures.

I completely forgot that I had been good about writing a year-ish ago....and then I logged on and melted into a happy mess as I read and remembered all the details of a year ago. So I'm giving it another go. Probably won't be pretty or formatted well or anything....but it's not meant to be for you. Just me. My life isn't really that pretty or formatted, so I think it all works out.
